Grand National Sweepstake Kit
It's that time of year again where the nation goes betting crazy as the world's greatest steeplechase the Grand National takes centre stage.
Once-a-year punters as always descend on the bookmakers armed with the obligatory pin and an armoury of tips gathered from those in the know.
However, as well as the traditional £5 each-way bets the country goes into ‘sweepstake overload' as kits and pull-outs find there way to almost every workplace and pub in the land.
So to make your sweepstake experience easier this year be sure to bookmark this page as we'll have all you need as soon as we know the final 40 runners.
Suggested Sweepstake Rules
- Cut out the 40 runners from our kit and then draw each horse randomly amongst the people who want to play.
- Ideally you need to get 40 people to buy one horse each, but if you can't get that many it's fine for people to buy more than one.
- Record each persons name on the table next to the horse(s) they have drawn
Tip: It's always advised to not show anyone which horses have gone while selling them. This will eliminate the situation of a load of ‘no-hopers' left in the hat at the end; thus proving impossible to sell.
Sweepstake Charging Suggesting
With a maximum of 40 runners one suggestion would be to charge £2 per horse which will make a total prize fund of £80. Then split the prize as follows –
1st - £50
2nd - £15
3rd - £10
4th - £5
