French Open, held over 2 weeks between late May and early June, is the second Grand Slam tournament on the tennis calendar.
Played on the clay courts of Roland Garros since 1928, the
French Open is
regarded as the most physically demanding major of all due to the slow nature of the surface. The unusual demands of Roland Garros have got the better of many of the best players of all-time. The likes of the Pete Sampras, John McEnroe, Stefan Edberg, Boris Becker, Martina Hingis and Lindsay Davenport never won the

Men's
French Open betting has been dominated by Rafael Nadal in recent years, with the Spaniard winning 4 titles in a row from 2005 to 2008. However, 2009 saw Roger Federer win his first ever
French Open championship, defeating Robin Soderling in the final. In doing so, Federer became the sixth player to have achieved a career Grand Slam.
French Open odds for 2010 are once again dominated by Federer and Nadal.
Women's
French Open 2010 betting
has been opened up by the return of 4-time champion Justine Henin, who last won the tournament in 2007. In her absence, Ana Ivanovic won in 2008 and Svetlana Kuznetzova in 2009, with both players defeating Dinara Safina in the final. As always, the
French Open odds of Venus and Serena Williams are short, despite them winning just 1 French Open between them to date (Serena in 2002).
