bwin becomes Premium Partner of FC Bayern Munich
The world’s leading provider of online gaming, bwin, is new premium partner of
German record title holders FC Bayern Munich. The contract was signed last
week. The cooperative agreement gives bwin the exclusive rights within the
industry to include the FC Bayern Munich brand in its advertising activities
around the world and entails the full promotional integration of bwin in the
football club media. The contract runs until the end of season 2009-2010 (June
30, 2010).
With this cooperation bwin continues its sponsoring strategy. In addition to the
new partnership with FC Bayern Munich, bwin has been jersey sponsor of AC
Milan since 2006 and jersey sponsor of Real Madrid since June 2007. "By
winning over Bwin, we have the pleasure of working with a partner who fits
perfectly to FC Bayern Munich given its strong brand and focus on partnerships
with leading European clubs," explained Bayern Munich's President Karl-Heinz
Rummenigge.
No sports – no sports betting
Based on the motto "No sports, no sports betting", the sponsoring of sports is a
central tenet in the philosophy of bwin.
