14:35 - There’s plenty of in-form fillies set to go to post in the 7f handicap none more so than RUSSIAN EMPRESS who arrives here on the back of an impressive seasonal victory at Naas. David Myerscough’s charge was a progressive and consistent performer throughout her first campaign and looked a filly to stay on the right side of judged on her most recent effort. Always handy at the Co Kildare venue, the daughter of Trans Island bounded clear in the closing stages and even though she’s worse off at the weights with runner up My Girl Sophie, the potential useful 4yo is strongly fancied to defy top weight.
15:05 - Ger Lyons has his team in fine form at present and TOBAR NA HINFE rates a good bet to keep up the good work in the 1m maiden. The son of Nash intimated he has plenty of ability on his debut at Limerick and stepped up markedly on that opening effort when chasing home the useful Charlotte Bronte at Naas last time out. The time of that contest was only just outside the one achieved by the 7f handicappers on the same card so the form looks solid and he’s been handed the perfect inside draw to make his presence felt.
15:35 - There doesn’t appear to be any superstars in the Classic Trial but it does provide EBADIYAN the perfect opportunity to make the step into the big league. John Oxx’s inmate showed he’d learnt plenty from his opening debut effort at Dundalk when landing a similar contest next time out in impressive fashion. Stoutly-bred, the son of Daylami should appreciate both track and trip and he looks a decent value bet to claim some notable scalps.
16:10 - CHINESE WHITE was mightily impressive when scoring on her one and only start as a 2yo and is strongly fancied to put her Classic credentials firmly in the shop window in the listed Victor McCalmont Stakes. The grey daughter of Daylami certainly knew her job on debut as she made virtually all the running before pulling well clear in the closing stages and even though she faces soft ground for the first time, her pedigree and action suggest she should cope with the conditions and she looks set to give Dermot Weld another notable success in what is turning out to be a decent season for the master handler.
17:20 - The Fonze is likely to be all the rage in the 1m 1f handicap off his light weight but he’s passed over in favour of ROSE HIP who created a favourable impression on her seasonal return over this C&D last week. Travelling well just in behind the pace, the daughter of Rossini was crucially hampered at a vital stage of the contest – thus ending any chance of winning – but she kept on willingly enough to suggest a race of this nature may come her way given normal luck in running.

16:00 - When the ground is riding soft at this venue only the fittest survive racing up the stiff climb to the line for the second time so this track looks tailor made for RIGHT NOW (NAP) to complete the hat trick. Ever since Adrian Maguire’s charge has been allowed to bowl along at the head of affairs, his fortunes have taken a huge turn for the better, highlighted with all-the-way successes at Limerick and Clonmel. Sure to set of a searching pace, the son of Right Win will have most of his rivals waving the white flag at an early stage and he rates the best bet of the day to take full advantage of his lenient mark returning to hurdles.
16:30 - YOUNG MILLY is improving at a rapid rate and looks a penalty kick to get back to winning ways in the 2m conditions hurdle. A smooth winner at Clonmel, the daughter of Accordion ran an absolute blinder when thrown in the deep end of a ultra-competitive handicap at Punchestown last time out and she a repeat of the performance she easily be good enough against this sort of opposition.
