SANDOWN - FRIDAY
14.20 - I still cannot trust Sohraab to win a race of this nature espeicially if it comes to a battle up the final climb and preference is for OSIRIS WAY.
Philip Robinson never comes to a meeting too early unless he has a real chance of landing a winner and this son of Indian Ridge stayed on really well to beat two of today's runners at Salisbury last time out. This track will similarly play to his strengths and he gets the vote over the second that day Playful who is sure to make a race of it.
14.50 - This looks a fair event of its kind and I fancy APRIL PRIDE strongly to return to winning form for Richard Hannon.
The daughter of Falbrav has been keeping some pretty good company recently and was hardly disgraced behind the potentially smart Cuis Ghaire at Ascot.
16.00 - If he was back to his best then Kandidate, a previous winner of this race would be a major player, but I suspect he may need this and a better prospect has to be MANY VOLUMES especially if the rains stay away.
I love the attitude of Henry Cecil's charge as he keeps on battling away and he ran a very sound race when behind Supaseus at Ascot when the winner had the run of the race from the front that day.
Of the remainder, Bushman is onthe up and Charlie Farnsbarns is better than he was able to show last time out.
16.35 - Humungous ran a cracking race in the Hunt Cup, but is this distance going to be within his compass in a fast run affair?
I like the look of SNOQUALME BOY with a very able trainer who has felt he hasn't had his optimum conditions yet. This former Royal Ascot winner loves coming from off a fast pace and the ground will be spot on as well.
In such a competitive affair, Caravel and Gulf Express (surely better than his last outing) are live wire dangers.
17.05 - If you can forgive his last run SWINGKEEL could well be a blot on the handicap for John Dunlop. This trip should suit and will take a chance on him beating some exposed performers of which Mith Hill would be interesting should the rain come by mid afternoon.
