Beginner's Question: Sometimes I have trouble playing big hands: here's one I played recently online. The game was no limit holdem with $0.25/$0.50 blinds. I was in the big blind with Kh-5h and there were a couple of limpers so I just checked. I was playing with about $26. I was pretty happy to see the flop come down 4c-5d-Ks. I decided to slow play and checked my monster. The first player also checked but my second opponent (who had me covered with around $79) bet $1.50....
Beginner's Question: I was recently playing a no limit Holdem sit n go and had reached the 75/150 blind levels with a chip stack of 1260. There were five of us left in and I was on the button. The first player limped in, the next player folded and then the action was on me with Ac Th. I decided to raise three times the big blind to 450, the small blind folded and the big blind called while the limper folded. He started the hand with 1650 in chips. The flop came down 8s Ks 4d and now the big blind checked. I went all-in for 810 and he called and knocked me out with his pocket 8s which had flopped a set. Was there any way I could have played this differently and avoided going broke?
Beginner's Question: I was playing online in $1-$2 NLH ring game last night and got dealt pocket rockets in the cut-off on a full table of nine players. There were four limpers so I raised it up to $6, or 3xBB. The button then re-raises to $12. I have no read on him as I am new to the table but am excited because he must be on a hand that I am dominating like pocket Kings or Queens. I was surprised when all the original limpers called the $12. Back round to me and I re-re-raise to $30, hoping that I get just one caller. But two of the original four limpers call as does the original button re-raiser. The flop comes 9-10-3 with two spades....

Beginner's Question: I played a hand in an online no limit holdem cash game the other day and I'm not sure if I played it right or not. The blinds are $0.25/$0.50 and I've got $13.25 in front of me. Two players in front of me call and with Ks-Ts on the button I call too. The small blind folds and the big blind ($35 in front of him) checks. The flop comes Kh-Jc-3h. The big blind bets $1.50, the other two players fold and I raise it up to $4. The big blind now goes all-in for $33! I decided to fold. Do you think I did the right thing?

Beginner's Question: I recently played a hand in a cash game online that, although I won, left me scratching my head and wondering if I could have played it better. The game was no limit holdem and the blinds were $0.25/$0.50. I had around $38.00 and my opponent, Bustedflush, had me covered with about $150. Everyone folded around to Bustedflush on the button who just called. I was in the small blind with Qc-Qs and raised to $1.75. Bustedflush called.

Beginner's Question: I'm playing a sit 'n' go (SNG) and have 1,000 chips left. The blinds are 50-100 and under the gun I find a pair of Queens. I raise to 300 and get one caller in mid position who has me covered with 2,000 chips. The flop is Th-9h-7h and the action is on me, what do you suggest?

Beginner's Question: Playing in a nine-player sit 'n' go, I am in early position with Q-J off-suit. Thinking this is a pretty decent (not brilliant) starting hand, I call. A player in mid-position raises. He is called by a player in late position, and the button. Everybody else folds.
So now I'm thinking – should I raise and stay in the pot? Or should I fold because the other three players still involved likely to have better hole cards than me?
Is there anything I could have done from my early position to dissuade the other players from raising?
