2013 Africa Cup of Nations
The 2013 African Nations Cup runs from 19th January - 10th February and is hosted by South Africa.
In the past, Africa Cup of Nations betting had revolved around former winners such as Egypt, Ghana, Cameroon and Nigeria (in fact, Egypt are the leading African Cup winners with seven titles to their name, including in 2006, 2008 and 2010). However, the 2012 tournament saw a huge surprise as Egypt, Cameroon and Nigeria all failed to qualify. This left unheralded Zambia free to secure their first ever African Nations title.
African Nations Cup fixtures attract an increasing amount of interest from England as the continent's Premier League stars represent their countries in the tournament. Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is normally the main attraction, despite the fact that the Ivory Coast haven't won the African Cup of Nations since 1992.
