Newmarket Guineas Meeting

The two-day Newmarket Guineas racing fixture takes place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th May on the famous Newmarket Rowley Mile racecourse. The 2000 Guineas is run on the Saturday and the fillies' equivalent, the 1000 Guineas, is the focal point of Sunday's fixture.

Last year's 2000 Guineas was one of the most memorable of recent times, with Henry Cecil's Frankel producing a simply remarkable performance to blitz a quality field from pillar to post and win at betting odds of 1/2.

Newmarket’s 1000 Guineas betting odds normally reflect a much more open event with several big priced winners since the turn of the century and it would be no surprise if that continued in the 2012 renewal.
