The Doncaster St Leger Stakes is a Group 1 flat race open to three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies. It is run over a distance of 1m 6.5f at Doncaster each September.

This final classic of the season has been held at Doncaster Racecourse since 1776, it has eclipsed the earlier established Doncaster Cup as the most important race run at the track. It is the oldest of the five British Classics and also the final leg of both the colts' and fillies' Triple Crowns. Past St Leger winners include the great Nijinsky, Sun Princess, Oh So Sharp, Reference Point and the 2010 winner Arctic Cosmos (the second time trainer John Gosden has won the race in the last four years).

The St Leger is the big race climax to a four-day meeting at Doncaster races and is the most important of the Doncaster race day fixtures throughout a busy flat season.
