The World Snooker Championships return to the Crucible Theatre and will see current champion Neil Robertson attempt to retain his title against the biggest names in the world of Snooker. The last 10 years of the competition have seen 7 different winners - the market suggests that the tournament is wide open and there are plenty of top quality players to be had at big odds.
All eyes are likely to lie on current World No.1 John Higgins and 3 times World Snooker Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan. Higgins can be backed at a best priced 7/1 whilst O'Sullivan is currently available at 5/1 and current World Champion and World No.2, Neil Robertson, can be backed at 8/1. It may however prove to be a difficult task for the Australian as no player has successfuly retained the Championships since Stephen Hendry won it an incredible five times between 1992 and 1996.
The outright market offers plenty of big priced betting opportunities such as last years Runner-Up and 2006 Winner Graeme Dott, who can be backed at 40/1. There will also be an opportunity for young Chinaman, Ding Junhui, to become the first Asian player to ever win the tournament. The World No.4 has bags of ability and you can currently back him at 10/1.
The World Snooker Championships start on Saturday 16th April and run for 2 weeks. You’ll be able to find all the best World Snooker Championship odds, tips and previews right here on Easyodds.com.
