Tottenham v Newcastle (Sat, 17:30, ESPN)

Recommended football betting tip:

Newcastle or Draw Double Chance @ 7/4 – BET NOW

You’d struggle to find many people who would disagree that Spurs should be favourites to win this match but looking at the odds it appears the bookmakers are doing Newcastle a disservice. Alan Pardew’s men continue to pick up results and sit deservedly amongst the front runners in the Premier League. With Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse up front they pose a real goal threat and at the other end they’ve made themselves stubborn to break down.

Spurs looked short of ideas at Anfield on Monday night with Modric and Bale having been successfully nullified whilst the loss of Rafael Van der Vaart meant there was a big gap between Adebayor and the midfield.

Odds of 1/2 on Spurs look much too short so it’s well worth either laying the hosts or backing Newcastle or draw in the double chance market.

Premier League Preview

Newcastle’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Sunday reaffirmed their fifth placed position in the Premier League table and Alan Pardew’s side are now a best price 9/4 to record a top six finish. Spurs remain third after they picked up a point at Anfield on Monday night and so Spurs are now a best price 1/7 to finish in the top four and 1.5 (exchanges) to finish in the top three.
